A chapter from Debating the Earth, The Next Industrial Revolution. Aptly, covers the same topic. I read this in a resort by a bubbling brook in the beautiful, remote Himalayan Nubra Valley. If we damage it, the results will be just like damaging the hull of a spaceship. Pretty bad.
