Guts

This movie was shot for only 150.000 Dutch guilders ($75.000). It tells the story of two friends, who have a dream making a movie in a 1930’s setting. One of them is writing the script, incorporating things he comes across in everyday life. Then, he gets obsessed by a woman on a billboard which he later meets. This leads to confrontations between the two friends and the woman. Then, ultimately, it is about knowing who you are, what you want to do and having the guts to do it (hence the title ‘lef’ which is Dutch for guts).
