Crocodile Tears

The Norwegian Dancer Øyvind (26) is taken by surprise when his Danish father Erling (77) contacts him out of the blue. Puzzled by the unexpected invitation after 20 years of no contact, Øyvind travels to Denmark. Excited to re-establish the relationship with his father as an adult, nothing turns out as Øyvind expects. As time passes during the weekend, Øyvind is affected by his father’s odd and detached behavior, while his father’s girlfriend Karin (60) overwhelms Øyvind with striking amounts of care and interest. Trapped in an isolated farmhouse at the Danish countryside, tensions begin to arise as Øyvind suspects that Karin and Erling are keeping something secret. Øyvind struggles to get answers to all the questions he’s had since his father left him 20 years ago. In the end Erling is forced to step into character, when he realizes that he risks loosing the person who means the most to him.
