Aquí Me Quedo

Paco is a quiet man who travels to Xela (Quetzaltenango) from the city to put ideas in order and his life in perspective now that the only thing he values in life, his wife Cusi, is blatantly cheating on him with his best friend. He seeks solace with the help of the only person he trusts: his uncle Juancho, buried fifteen years ago in Xela’s cemetery. Unadvertedly, his path is crossed by Willy, a local Quetzalteco who has just lost his job, clearly distraught and willing to pour all his anger towards life on this new comer, a stranger to him, whom he drags through the “Sixth State City” at gunpoint. Paco will try to find the means to escape this kidnap and find a resolution to his life’s questions, while Willy seeks the courage to pull the trigger and get it over with. During the kidnapping, a strange friendship is forged that gradually winds up revealing the source of each of their problems.
